Trevillion were appointed by Hilwood Resorts and Hotels to design, procure and project manage the interior fit out of their 120 bedroom new build hotel within the World Heritage site of Brooklands Race Track in Weybridge, Surrey. Whilst only a part of the historic track remains in existence today, the line of the Soloman Straight once ran through the heart of the hotel site. Reference to this track is provided by contrasting floor finishes in reception with bespoke stainless steel markings and inspiration for the interior design was taken from The Halcyon Days of British Motor Racing. Above reception Trevillion commissioned a bespoke steamed English Oak Installation by leading British Artist Charlie Whinney to reflect the curves of the track and the motion of the race cars. Further reference was taken from the Art Deco styling present in the track's heyday. Classic Designs from Eileen Gray to Le Courbusier were also integrated and simplified with the striking interior.
