Trevillion were appointed to design and procure this new build and public area extension project for Gough Hotels.
Having carried out a full refurbishment previously on the existing hotel for Robert Gough. A keen champion of the arts. Trevillion created a scheme that would stand up and be noticed. The brightly coloured contemporary bedrooms were given an urban warehouse twist to reflect the hotel's setting within Ipswich Harbour.
The reception and entrance to the hotel were given a more dramatic theatrical feel through the use of curtain treatment and stage lighting to frame the eclectic furnishings and unique objects whilst uniting the interior with the exterior with a beautiful flagstone floor. The award winning brasserie within the existing hotel was refreshed and enlarged to cope with the demands of a larger hotel whilst still delivering an intimate environment.
